Event gamification is a broad term that refers to incorporating game-like processes and elements into your event to make it more engaging and to motivate attendees to keep interacting.
Studies already exist regarding this concept and companies such as Xperiencify’s ‘Essential Guide to Gamification Design’ have published literature that says that there are eight drivers of gamification. Essential components have also been postulated such as:

- Rules
- Feedback
- Rewards
- Motivation
- Freedom of Choice
- Freedom to Fail
Marketers use gamification to drive engagement, incentivise users, extend user lifetime value and much more. In events, gamification also serves this purpose – to create a memorable experience that will stand out and remain with attendees.
