Who said that July is a slow month for the events industry? That’s definitely not what we’ve experienced and the month isn’t even over yet! Join us as we deliver the latest newsletter to tell you what we’ve been up to before our imminent summer break.
GLOBAL MICE FORUMS
We had two appointments this July with the Global Mice Forums team.
On 4-6 July, our Sales Director for Spain, Alex Barbero, travelled to the island of La Toja to take part in the 3rd edition of the Forum for Associations where the Boards of Directors of medical, scientific and other associations and societies—that organise congresses at a national level—took part as hosted buyers.
We are already looking forward to travelling to Cadiz in December for the GMF Iberian Edition.
We were also lucky enough to participate in their Summer Party held at Finca El Olivar on the 12th of July. It was an opportunity for our CMO, Mentxu Sendino, to meet with prominent members of the MICE industry in a unique and relaxing location. Thanks again for the invitation!
AEVEA & CO
The 7th edition of AEVEA & CO was held on 4 July by AEVEA (Associated Spanish Event Agencies) at IFEMA, where the Malinche musical was conducted. It was a fantastic opportunity to review the state of the sector and the great challenges related to human resources management that the industry is facing. It involved inspiring presentations, round tables that encouraged debate and, of course, lots of fellowship and camaraderie. The musical finale by the dance troupe of Nacho Cano’s musical was a real spectacle. Once again, Mentxu Sendino was in charge of representing Eventscase at the flagship event of AEVEA, an association of which we are proud sponsors.
TDW SUMMER BBQ
Let’s move over to the UK because this month we also had the opportunity to attend the summer barbecue organised by our partners from The Delegate Wranglers. Fun surprises and encounters with like-minded people were the main ingredients of this party organised by Neil Thompson and his team at the Tower Hotel in London on 3 July. Our UK Managing Director, Jon Tupper, enjoyed an evening that also served to celebrate the renewal of our sponsorship agreement for the fourth consecutive year with The Delegate Wranglers.
EVENTOPLUS VALENCIA MEETING
As part of this review of the events we have attended and the activities we have carried out, the meeting organised by Eventoplus, led by Marina Trillo and Agata Puigmal, in Valencia on 13 July at the Mestalla Stadium also deserves a special mention. As members of Visit Valencia, we had the opportunity to join other event industry suppliers working in the Valencian Community to talk about the characteristics of the sector in this area. It was an enriching meeting where we were able to learn about different perspectives that converge in the MICE industry of Spain.
SIXTH SESSION OF “DID YOU KNOW?”
To conclude this post, we would like to highlight the last session of our on-demand educational series “Did you know?”. On this occasion, we talked about personalisation and how our platform, specifically through the website, allows us to personalise the attendee experience.
Below is a 1-minute summary with some key points of the session. Register by clicking on the button below if you want to access the full content.
We have an upcoming summer campaign that will be published in August but most of us will be going away on holidays. We hope that you enjoy the summer as much as we do. See you soon!
