The month of December may put some undue stress on people. Holidays are in order, family gatherings abound, social circles are teeming, and then there’s the quintessential problem of thinking about all the gifts you have to give to your loved ones.
On the flip side, December also allows us to disconnect and reflect on the things that really matter. It allows us to put things in perspective and somehow gather our bearings in preparation for the new year. And this is what this post is about!
It’s a recap of all the things we’re thankful for—and an invitation for you to join us in reliving our best moments in 2022!
Physical events are back
If there’s one thing that we should celebrate within the events industry this year, it would be the recovery of our sector from the pandemic. As an event management software provider, we witnessed first-hand the crippling nature of the pandemic when almost all events got cancelled in 2020. When events are our lifeblood, we had the choice to either give up or evolve during those uncertain times.
Thanks to the quick reflexes from our product team, we were able to support virtual events by developing livestreaming website modules, at first, and then making our very own Digital Venue – a website facility that was specifically designed for virtual events. It became an award-winning solution and is now also adapted for hybrid and physical events.
Our client base is also growing, and some clients who stopped using us during the pandemic even came back! We’re proud to be the tech provider for major international events such as COP27 or the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference and the 11th Conference of the Research and Innovation Framework Program of the European Union held in Spain. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg – our clients are holding hundreds of important events every year while relying on Eventscase.
We joined and exhibited at events again
Speaking of the comeback of physical events, we did our fair share of joining and exhibiting at events this year. If you check out our social media channels, we’ve taken part in different corporate events, from sponsored ones to paid ones. We also exhibited at Event Tech Live again this year, which is Europe’s largest hybrid expo dedicated to event technology.
Our partnerships with industry-leading event management organisations has also helped catapult our brand in various markets this year. We would like thank OPC España (Federación Española de Asociaciones de Empresas de Organización Profesional de Congresos), EMA (Event Managers Association Spain), AEVEA (Agencias de Eventos Españolas Asociadas), MPI (Meeting Professionals International) Iberian Chapter and TDW (The Delegate Wranglers) for trusting in our product and team.
We celebrated our 10th anniversary
Perhaps the most important milestone we’d like to share this year is our 10th anniversary! We kickstarted our celebrations through a summer party where we brought together team members from Europe in Castellón, Spain. This was followed by several other actions which culminated in the “Agency Tech Tour” where we hosted 10 representatives from some of the most important Spanish event agencies—we flew them to London during Event Tech Live.
Looking back, we have achieved so much in a span of ten years as a company since it was founded in London in 2012. And the most important thing is that we’re not stopping! The last ten years are simply the start of an even bigger success story.
We got additional funding
As our last highlight of the year, this note of gratitude is meant particularly for our investors who have supported us tirelessly despite the events “drought” in 2020. As physical events have come back in full swing, and as we recover more business, some of our stakeholders have blessed us with another round of investment in Q4 of 2022. This will help solidify our plans for the future and pave the way for more milestones as a company.
We can’t wait for 2023 to come
Now that the new year is on the horizon, our wish is for 2023 to be better for all of us in our beloved events industry. All signs allude to this especially if we take a look at the drastic recovery we have achieved this year. The future is bright, it seems.
To conclude this post, we’d like to thank you for reading this far into our yearly recap—and for following our journey at Eventscase. May your Christmas celebrations be filled with love, fun and camaraderie! From all of us at Eventscase, we wish you happy holidays!
