Table of Contents

Now that summer has officially started, it’s also time to give you the latest news from Eventscase for the month of June! This month has meant a return to organising face-to-face events ourselves. In Madrid and London, we have reconnected with people from our network composed of clients, potential clients, collaborators and friends

The meat of our event preparations is to provide content that offers value to event professionals. We believe that we have achieved this on both occasions as described below.

BUSINESS BREAKFAST ROUNDTABLE

Right at this very moment, we are holding the ‘Business Breakfast’ organised by our London team at the Elton Suite of Here Spaces & Events.

Years ago we started holding these small networking events in London for event professionals where we aimed to receive first-hand accounts and knowledge related to event management and technology. We are keen advocates of direct and organic communication, and what better way to do this than over a healthy breakfast.

Our team, led by Jon Tupper, Managing Director, and Hollie Winstone, Lead Generation Specialist, are currently at the venue to talk face-to-face with a few invited attendees regarding the latest ins and outs of the events industry, including the use of technology for events. Thanks to everyone who has shown interest in this breakfast roundtable. We will be hosting similar gatherings soon!

1ST EVENTSCASE INNOVATION MEETING

What a rewarding experience it has been to organise the first Eventscase Innovation Meeting on June 15th! We developed an event agenda which focused on innovations and solutions that make life easier for event organisers. Thanks to the wisdom of our speakers and the roundtable discussions, we maximised the entire morning which also included networking opportunities for attendees before and after the program.

During the event which was held at Espacio UnoNueve in Madrid, we wanted attendees to access our Digital Venue. Although the event followed a face-to-face format, the Digital Venue was still relevant as it became a virtual space for interaction and gathering opinions on what we should develop next in our platform.

We have gathered the following feedback from the audience:

  • Almost 67% of participants think that it is a fantastic idea to focus on the “pre-event” stage. In a broad sense, this includes the management of contents, attendees, travel arrangements, leisure activities, social programmes, etc.
  • Another area of interest for our attendees is staff and supplier management. Over 60% opine that it would be a good idea for us to develop a solution for this specific area of event management.

Venue management or venue finding was also a top consideration. More than 80% of respondents consider this to be an essential tool for event organisers.

THE DELEGATE WRANGLERS SUMMER BBQ

Almost 3 years ago, we became members of The Delegate Wranglers in the UK. It is a community of over 20,000 members who interact regularly in a private Facebook group. In addition to being members, we are technology partners for some of their events and have been awarded the “Superstar” status. We’d like to personally thank Neil Thompson for being a gracious partner and for always supporting our initiatives.

This coming 3rd of July, The Delegate Wranglers is holding one of those “not to be missed” events, a barbecue to celebrate the start of summer at the Tower Hotel in London. It is not only a social event but it will also provide possibilities for collaborations amongst industry players and professionals.

We didn’t want to miss out on the fun, so if you’re going to attend, come and say hello to Jon Tupper who will be representing our team.

GLOBAL MICE FORUM ASSOCIATIONS FORUM LA TOJA

In March, when we attended the Global Mice Forum (GMF) in La Rioja for national buyers, we announced that we would also be present at the forum for associations. It will be a pioneering event in Spain that brings together associations from different sectors that organise meetings and congresses. It will take place from the 4th to 6th of July on the island of La Toja in Pontevedra.

In this edition, Boards of Directors of medical, scientific and other associations and societies that organise congresses at the national level will participate as hosted buyers. Our Sales Director for Spain, Alex Barbero, will be in charge of offering them the best solution throughout this highly-curated networking event.

Stay tuned as we will soon be announcing other industry events where we will be at!

NEW SESSION OF “DID YOU KNOW?”

To conclude this monthly review, we would like to invite you to watch our last “Did you know?” session where we talked about communication and the platform’s emailing capabilities. As you know, we highlight lesser-known features of the platform through this series.

Here’s a one-minute summary of the session. If you find it interesting, you can register to watch the full content by clicking on the button below.
