September is a month of reflection, recognition, and renewal. At Eventscase, we’ve experienced inspiring industry events, strategic launches, and meaningful connections. Here’s our monthly round-up of what happened, why it matters, and what’s coming next.
EMA Learn: “After the Event: the problem isn’t the channel. It’s that you were never relevant”
After the summer break, training sessions from our partner associations returned – sessions we are always eager to attend. On 18 September in Barcelona, the EMA (Event Managers Association Spain) organised a session titled “After the Event: the problem isn’t the channel. It’s that you were never relevant.”
With contributions from Luis Bajo, Albert Cerezales Garcia, and Carlos Núñez-García Garrido, and moderated by Raimond Torrents, the discussion offered valuable insights.
Context and Purpose
The session served as a forum for reflecting on post-event strategies. Too often, we assume that follow-up channels (email, social media, outreach) will secure continuity, yet the session’s theme pointed to the real issue: perhaps the event itself lacked enough relevance for those channels to be effective.
It’s not simply about the medium used afterwards, but whether the event’s content, structure, and promise engaged attendees enough to keep them interested.
The phrase “you were never relevant” is provocative but useful: a reminder to pursue narrative excellence and to design events as ongoing experiences, not one-off occurrences.

MED 2025 + Eventoplus Awards 2025: A Day of Learning and Celebration
On 17 September 2025, the Spanish events sector experienced a double occasion: in the morning, Madrid Event Day (MED 2025); in the evening, the Eventoplus Awards Gala. Naturally, Eventscase was there.
MED 2025: Backstage, Innovation and Connections
This year’s MED placed strong emphasis on what happens behind the scenes: technical production, creativity, set-up and operations.
- Around 300 professionals (buyers and suppliers) attended, generating more than 1,000 one-to-one meetings and nearly 4,000 messages.
- Campfire-style conversations explored sustainable innovation, circular materials, gamification, and modular design.
- High-profile speakers reflected on balancing experiential creativity with precise technical execution.
Eventoplus Awards 2025: Recognition that Drives the Industry Forward
The 20th edition of the Eventoplus Awards introduced new categories, including Best Gala or Recognition Event and Best Event Strategy for a Company/Institution.
- The jury comprised 20 industry professionals from brands, agencies, and institutions.
- Among the winners: Experientia stood out with several Gold awards; CeraVe and the agency SOMOS Experiences won Gold for their strategic use of events; and Avant Events claimed the Grand Prize for its 550th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Isabella the Catholic in Segovia, which also took Gold for Best Cultural Event and Best Entertainment.

Launch of EVA Insights: Turning Experience into Knowledge
A major technological milestone this month was the launch of EVA Insights, Eventscase’s new analytical layer designed to transform event interactions into actionable data.
What EVA Insights Does
- Captures conversations, interactions, and behaviours within the event experience.
- Provides dynamic dashboards showing trends, segments, peaks of interest, and potential personalised journeys.
- Enables sponsors, organisers, and operations teams to look beyond surface-level metrics.
Expected Impact
- Hyper-personalised attendee experiences.
- Stronger post-event follow-up, backed by real data.
- Clearer measurement of sponsor ROI.
This launch strengthens the paradigm of “event → measurement → action”, enhancing both continuity and relevance.

IV Annual Reception Spain–UK – Spanish Chamber of Commerce
The IV Annual Reception in Spain, hosted by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, deserves a special mention in our September recap. Held in Madrid, it was an unforgettable evening – and we invite you to relive it with us.
What We Experienced
On Monday 8 September 2025, the Chamber celebrated its IV Annual Business Cocktail in Madrid, with a distinctly institutional and strategic tone.
The event brought together leading figures from the business community, offering opportunities to strengthen relationships, generate new prospects, and celebrate collaboration between the two countries.
As the only annual corporate cocktail in Spain organised by the Spanish Chamber in the UK, this reception is both prestigious and anticipated within the institutional calendar. For us, it is also a reminder of our Spanish-British identity.
