The beginning of the year is always a time for renewal and resolutions. In our case, we are welcoming 2024 with a bang as we anticipate new opportunities, new events and more innovative developments to make this our best year ever!

Let’s get on with the monthly review of “everything Eventscase”. Catch the wave of the new year with us. 🏄

Eventscase: AI, AI and more AI

It is such a hot topic lately! Everybody is talking about AI and while it is already outstanding, current applications only show us a glimpse of the potential of this type of technology. It’s just the beginning, more like. Like you, we are watching all these advancements around artificial intelligence and events and we are trying to understand how we can use it to improve the organisation of events.

As techies ourselves, we have analysed, understood and adapted AI to our platform. Before the end of 2023, we launched our AI Assistant, a virtual assistant for events that helps attendees find the profiles, sponsors and sessions best suited to their interests. The language model also learns whenever you ask questions and it can be trained with new event information at the click of a mouse.

Last week we wanted to put everything we know in a whitepaper that you can download for free here. AI is an expanding tool that will touch many areas of our lives – affecting and improving productivity, time management, data analysis, etc. Because of its nature, we must consider some legal and ethical repercussions in the use of AI as well. We have talked about all of this in the whitepaper.

As you may have already read in our social media channels, we are taking our love for AI one step further. On the 5th and 6th of March, depending on the language you want to view the media in (English or Spanish), we will hold a live webinar to discuss everything about AI. We will talk about what we have to offer to the events industry, but there will also be space for experts in this field to share their opinions and knowledge.

Events and collaborations

We are not the only ones who have started the year with enthusiasm. The associations and organisations which we collaborate with have already unfolded their catalogue of activities for 2024, which is also packed with events.

  • MPI iberian Chapter Networking with Malinche

The Iberian chapter of MPI kicked off the year with an event held in the Malinche tent at IFEMA. The Board of Directors, led by Juan Martínez, reviewed the events held during 2023 and the association’s proposals for 2024. Eventscase will play a prominent role as, through our platform, the association has launched its #MICeCampus – a virtual training space available 24/7 for event industry professionals to access video content pills by experts on different areas.

If you are a member, you can access it free of charge. If you are not a member, you can access it for free for the time being as part of the launch offer.

  • AEVEA: Awards and General Assembly

For the association that brings together the best event agencies in Spain, AEVEA, the year has started no differently. Yesterday, 24 January, its General Assembly was held and our platform played a dual role. On the one hand, it served for the registration of the attendees and, on the other hand, members who could not attend in person had access to the streaming and were able to vote for the proposals presented at the Assembly through our Digital Venue.

The Assembly is only the first of the events that AEVEA has on the horizon. Our CEO, Jose Bort, will have the opportunity to attend the cocktail among juries for the first edition of the AEVEA Awards on February 5th, of which we are proud sponsors. Our platform will also be used to register the attendees to the awards gala on February 21st.

  • Mash Media: Confex and more

If we go to the UK, heightened energy can also be seen. We are attending the Exhibition News Marketing Awards & Conference in mid-February. Our Managing Director in the UK, Jon Tupper, will also represent us at the most important trade fair for events in the country – International Confex. It will be held on 28 and 29 February. Come visit us at stand E18C!

Given all of these events, activities, and initiatives to look forward to in 2024, we can’t help but feel excitement. Good things are bound to happen at Eventscase!
